St. Ives Mini-Junior Rugby Football Club: Club Rules 1. The Club shall be called the St Ives Mini-Junior Rugby Football Club, hereinafter referred to as "The Club", and shall be part of St Ives Rugby Football Club, which shall be the parent club. 2. The purpose of The Club shall be the development of players and the promotion of the game of Rugby Football for those under the age of 16 on the 1st September of the current season. 3. The Club shall be a member of the Cornwall Mini-Junior Rugby Group and shall conduct itself in accordance with the requirements of the Rugby Football Union as they apply to players under 16 years of age. 4. The officers of The Club shall be the Chairman, Hon Secretary and Hon Treasurer, who shall have the power together to act over matters requiring, immediate attention. 5. The affairs of the Club shall be managed by a Committee consisting of the Officers, Vice Chairman, Hon Fixture Secretary, Hon Social & Fundraising Secretary, Lead Coaches and the Managers from the Minis, Midis and Junior’s. 6. The Committee shall, from time to time, have powers to co-opt up to three members to the committee for specific purposes. Such co-opted members shall be allowed to vote at the Committee meetings. The Chairman shall have a second or casting vote if necessary to arrive at a decision. 7. The Committee shall appoint two of its members to represent them at the Cornwall Mini-Junior Group meetings and one to represent them on St Ives R.F.C. General Committee. 8. The Annual General Meeting of the Club shall be held as soon as possible after the end of the season, but no later than 30th June. Notice of such meeting shall be published at least 14 days prior to the meeting. 9. The business of the Annual General Meeting shall be to receive reports on the year's activities, including Annual Accounts, to elect the Officers and the Committee, to approve amendments to the Club Rules and to deal with any other relevant business. 10. No rule of the Club shall be altered, rescinded or added to except by a two-thirds majority of the votes cast at a fully constituted A.G.M. Notice of any such alterations shall be given in writing to the Hon Secretary thirty days prior to the meeting and shall be included in the notice convening the A.G.M. 11. All paid up members of the Club and their parents/legal guardians shall have the right to attend the A.G.M. All Club members and one parent/guardian (over the age of 18) per family shall have the right to vote. 12. Membership of the Club is by payment of the relevant subscription for each player and Social Membership of St Ives RFC by the parent/guardian. 13. The level of Annual Subscriptions and Match Fees shall be recommended by the Committee and approved at the A.G.M. 14. All playing members of the Club must be registered as such with the Rugby Football Union. 15. No person shall hold a position of responsibility within the Club unless he/she is a member of the Club. 16. An Extraordinary General Meeting of the Club may be called by a written requisition by not less than fifty percent of Club members over the age of 18. 17. The disciplinary sub-committee of the parent club shall be responsible for dealing with discipline problems on and off the field. The parent club shall have the powers to co-opt from the Club for such specific purposes. 18. The Club colours shall be predominantly blue with white trim as deemed appropriate by the Committee. 19. The Lead Coaches shall, from time to time, together or individually call a meeting of coaches to discuss coaching policy and other relevant matters. 20. The winding up of the Club shall only be approved following a properly constituted General Meeting after a correctly written proposal which gains a two thirds majority of the votes cast. After appropriate refunds have been made, all remaining monies and -stock shall be handed over to the parent Club.
